Take a Stand for New Mexican Mamas!

Take a Stand for New Mexican Mamas!

Martha Yazdani and Shabd Simran Adeniji from The Birthing Tree Cooperative, Take a Stand for New Mexican Mamas! “Our passion is women’s health and families at that fragile time when they need support and empowerment. Who we work with and how we do it is much more in line with ourselves and how we want the workplace and world to be. It can be hard to always juggle, balance and be really present as both a parent and professional, but we wouldn’t choose a 9 to 5 over this.”

Meet our Doulas

Families can meet our wonderful doulas, ask questions and learn more about how Doulas can make a difference in pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period! All are welcome at any stage of their pregnancy and partners are encouraged to come along as well.

Finding your Manners when you’re Mad

Finding your Manners when you’re Mad

As an etiquette consultant I’m often asked what age I start teaching students. I offer classes starting at age four but teaching good manners starts at home right out of the womb.

While I wasn’t focusing on forks and thank you notes with my then toddler son and my baby girl, now 9 months, I was keenly aware of my behavior towards them and my peers. Children are much more likely to do as you do than as you say. So as parents we have to lead my example. Since these foundations of life skills start in the home this means that children will learn their social skills by watching how you behave with fellow family members.
