The Birthing Tree Cooperative

NEWSLETTER/ CALENDAR January-March 2009

Announcement:  Thanks and Gratitude

The Birthing Tree Cooperative offers our thanks and gratitude to Laurian Lucretia of Ojo Caliente.  We received a generous donation from Laurian to provide doula services to parents who could not afford doula services.  A note from Laurian: “In loving memory of June Jarvis, my mother, a sholarship fund is available to assist those mothers who need financial assistance with childbirth support.  June was very passionate that motherhood is the most important job on the planet.  She devoted her life to self healing and putting family first.  June would love to know that her money was going to expand consciousness in the birthing our babies with grace.”  Thank you, Laurian!  Laurian was a student doula with The Birthing Tree.  To make a donation to The Birthing Tree contact Abby Bordner, Director at thebirthingtree@aol.com

The Birthing Tree would also like to extend thanks to The Santa Fe Children’s Museum for the use of their newly remodeled greenhouse space for our Many Mothers Circles.

And… a big thank you to Playschool of the Arts for the use of their facility for parenting workshops throughout the ‘08-‘09 calendar.

Lastly (but not leastly), gratitude to Santa Fe Ob/Gyn for the use of their waiting room and office facility to teach our childbirth preparation classes.

Without the generous support from these community businesses, we’d have no where to teach!  Thank you for believing in us and offering to us so that we can provide our services to pregnant couples and new families!  Thank you!!
