Childbirth Classes in Santa Fe

Childbirth Preparation Classes: This is a great series for women preparing to birth at home or in the hospital. Six supportive, informative classes to prepare expectant parents for the tasks of labor, birth and parenting. Taught by doulas and midwives to help build confidence in normal birth, to make informed choices in the hospital setting and to prepare for life with a newborn. Series includes the breastfeeding class and St. Vincent hospital tour.

Natural Childbirth: Drug Free Labor This one evening class is a supplement to the Childbirth Preparation Classes. This class is for moms who prefer to labor without medicine or medical interventions. We will discuss emotional challenges, partner support, and communicating with your care provider. We will also discuss facing unexpected interventions and embracing the birth you are given.

Birthing From Within: The Birthing From Within series is an exceptional childbirth preparation that prepares you to give birth from within - from within your body, your psyche, your culture and your surroundings (wherever that may be). This is a dynamic, experiential class that prepares you to give birth and parent in awareness, regardless of what happens. Each class is unique and designed to bring forth what YOU specifically need to know to birth your baby.
This series enables you to:
- Build a pain-coping mindset
- Navigate the maze-like paths of labor
- Get information you need from care providers
- Find solutions to your fears that work for you
- Confidently feed your newborn and plan for the postpartum
- And much, much more!
A special fathers/partners class is included as is a postpartum gathering. Come, celebrate this momentous rite of passage of birth and parenthood in a comprehensive class unlike any other!




St. Vincent Hospital Tour: offered on the first Monday of every month at 6pm. Meet at the main entrance waiting area. FREE

Breastfeeding Class: A one evening class to present the basics and prepare moms to breastfeed.

Private Classes: Conveniently scheduled private sessions with a family educator for childbirth preparation, labor, birth and parenting.
